Fully Filled FS Insulated Direct Burial Copper Telecom Cables

Multipair copper cables for ducts or direct burial installations in telecom applications.
The cable core is made of twisted pairs which are cabled into groups, jelly filled and tape wrapped with a polyester binder.
Flooding compound is inserted between the polyester tape and the aluminum moisture barrier, which is placed over the cable core
and bonded to an outer black PE jacket. 
Conductor range, pair count range and applications:
0.4 mm conductors: 10-1800 pairs; 0.5 mm conductors: 10-1200 pairs used mainly in distribution networks.
0.6 mm conductors: 10-600 pairs; 0.9 mm conductors: 10-300 pairs, used mainly for long-haul installations.

Cable Construction

Conductors Solid annealed bare copper conductors, conforming to ASTM B3 and to CCITT G541b.
Insulation Foam-skin Polyolefin conforming to ASTM D1248 and to BS 6234 Type 03.
Cable assembly Twisted pairs, cabled into sub-units and super-units, cabled in a circular form.
Filling compound Water resistant filling compound, applied to the gaps between the pairs.
Tape wrap Non hygroscopic plastic tape, wrapped with 30% overlap.
Flooding compound Water resistant flooding compound, applied between the core wrap and the aluminum foil.
Moisture barrier 200 micron aluminum/copolymer foil laid longitudinally, bonded to the outer jacket.
Outer Jacket Black LLDPE compound conforming to ASTM D1248.
Surface marking Per request.
